This ones a bit of a head scratcher as we thought Detroit would be adding and Tampa would be subtracting. Detroit must feel they are going to add more defensive depth or that Commodore was completely useless to their cup run. Regardless this may be the least compelling trade of the day – at least I hope so. He's being shipped for a conditional 7th round pick. Conditional?!?! What condition could possibly go on a 7th? Detroit couldn't get this guy out of town fast enough.
Sportsnet had Commodore on the phone before TSN even announced the trade. If the trade wasn't so meaningless I night give double points.
