Gallagher Whines About How Canucks are Winning

VANCOUVER — When the Detroit Red Wings wake up in the morning they must at times be wondering why they're feeling weird, like they're being chased by some mysterious force they don't quite understand.
On many occasions these days they don the nightcap with a four-point lead in the Western Conference and wake up with a two-point lead but then they look at what's stalking them and see something out of the living dead. http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Canucks+keep+winning+ugly+living+dead+games/6160390/story.html#ixzz1mehKEjqd
Shacks' Take:  There's no doubt the expectations in this city have have gotten a little unreasonable when we're worried about how the team's winning games in February?

It was amusing to watch Hockey Central at Noon yesterday with Millard, Kypreos & McLean and they brought up how they were listening to the Canucks – Avalanche game and they couldn't believe how the commentators were down on the team because they weren't blowing out Colorado.  This brought about a good chuckle from the group asking what exactly they want when they're winning?
Every team has ups and downs during the season.  Boston is 4 – 5 in their last 9, Chicago had lost 9 in a row previous to their win in New York last night, yet beating those teams in the playoffs will still be a scary undertaking.
Worrying about how a team is winning in February when they are already secure in a playoff season is akin to worrying about too much rain on the crops you haven't even planted yet.  I'll save my worrying until Vancouver is facing an elimination game in the spring, until then Chicken Little, relax.
