INDIANAPOLIS -- Elite and Eli. One and the same. And now there are two Super Bowl championships and two MVPs to prove it.
Eli Manning is the big man in the NFL after one-upping Tom Brady and leading the New York Giants to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in Sunday's Super Bowl -- in older brother Peyton's house, at that. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=320205017
Shacks' Take: Execution in big moments is almost always the key to these big games. When New York needed it, Mario Manningham made an all-world catch along the sidelines that led to the winning points. When New England needed it, Wes Welker dropped a ball that hit him in the hands that would have put New England in a position to drain more clock and score some insurance points. 'Woulda, coulda, shoulda' is what Welker and the Patriots will be saying today. It's an unfortunate end to their season but full credit to Eli because that boy is stone cold when it matters the most and fully deserving of the MVP and the praise he is receiving today. Congrats to the G-Men and their fans!!
