McIntyre: Hodgson's ice time with Canucks dismal despite hustle

You don't often see a coast-to-coast rush in the NHL anymore.

But Cody Hodgson had one on Monday in the first period against the Phoenix Coyotes, essentially zig-zagging his way around and through Martin Hanzal, Boyd Gordon, Radim Vrbata and Adrian Aucoin before turning Keith Yandle inside-out, only to have Jason LaBarbera make the save on his wrister…

But Hodgson's reward for his first-period rush? Alain Vigneault gave him 3:45 of ice time on the fourth line in the period. http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Hodgson+time+with+Canucks+dismal+despite+hustle/6152749/story.html#ixzz1mT0Gmbri

Shacks' Take: Cody Hodgson's lack of opportunity and ice-time or has long been a source of concern for this writer.  This will be the topic of an up-coming Shack's Canuck Report so come back Sunday to find out my views.
