Ohlund Facing Career threatening Injury

Almost lost amidst all the wheeling and dealing being done by Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman is some sad news about former Canuck defenceman Mattias Ohlund.
Ohlund is facing major surgery on his left knee Thursday at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He has missed the entire season after having arthroscopic surgery on both knees late last summer. http://blogs.vancouversun.com/2012/02/21/ohlund-faces-major-surgery-to-try-and-save-career/

Shacks' Take: Anyone that followed the Canucks will feel bad for Ohlund.  Likely the best defenseman ever to play for Vancouver and all around good guy, Canuck fans wished him well when he left a few summers back for a mega-contract Vancouverites knew was a vast over payment.  It's unfortunate his career is being cut short by injuries Shacks on sport can only hope for the best for the big Swede.
