Hodgson being more evasive off ice than on

VANCOUVER — Former Vancouver Canucks centre Cody Hodgson demonstrated Friday he can stickhandle in front of a microphone Friday as well as he does on the ice.
Given one, two and three opportunities to admit he asked for a move out of Vancouver, the new Buffalo Sabre simply avoided answering in a session with reporters at the Pan Pacific Hotel.
Hodgson and Alex Sulzer were sent to the Sabres at Monday's NHL trading deadline for Zack Kassian and Marc-Andre Gragnani. http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/Former+Canuck+Cody+Hodgson+dekes+around+trade+questions+Like+said/6243489/story.html#ixzz1o4fYtCPV
Shacks’ Take:  Those are some pretty nifty moves Cody’s using there.  That last one looked like a Savardian spinorama.  It’s hard not to think Cody wanted out considering AV’s treatment, his limited ice-time and even more limited opportunity.  Vancouver did the right thing by swapping him now and not waiting for the draft in June.  The trade made them a much tougher team to play against and Vigneault gets his ideal roster.  I discuss the trade breakdown in detail in tomorrow’s Canucks article.
