Gallagher wonders where Canuck scoring chances have gone?

It's too early to tell whether the Vancouver Canucks' lack of offensive punch of late is due to fatigue, the nature and approach of their recent opponents, or the new, more defensive players having had more of an effect than you might expect.
Time will tell, but last night's game - while being a crucial victory over a stingy St. Louis Blues team - was the extension of a trend that has become more apparent of late, whereby one of the most exciting teams in the league is having trouble getting scoring opportunities, much less scoring goals. http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Tired+travelling+tired+scoring/6239811/story.html#ixzz1nyS811Wa
Shacks Take: Gallagher muddles through a few points about how the Canucks' diminishing scoring could come back to haunt the team – the other teams must be scoring less too because the Canucks keep winning and for the umpteenth time when addressing a Gallagher article IT ONLY MATTERS IN APRIL, MAY & JUNE!!!! Gallagher finally gets to the real gist of the issue, the referees aren't calling penalties like they once did.  Oddly, if the ref's are calling fewer penalties and the stars of the game are being clutched and grabbed, their scoring will decrease, thus fewer goals.  Tony you put together the evidence, now connect the dots instead of making another article about the ominous problems that besiege the Canucks.  I may not have connected the dots myself but check my next blog post which will be right above.
