After getting two days off to regroup after an embarrassing loss to
Montreal on Saturday, Canucks players were greeted at practice on Tuesday by
two revamped forward lines and a complete shuffle of the defence pairings.
That's what happens when teams struggle, and the Canucks have lost three
of their past four games in regulation – all at home, where they usually win –
and are a troubling 2-3-2 in the last seven. It's a poor time to stumble with
just 13 games remaining until the playoffs.

Shacks’ Take: Okay in some ways I get this, both the twins and
Raymond are struggling so what harm is there in putting them together; they
can’t produce any less than they already are.
If the line happens to click, great, if not, they’re no worse off than
they were the day before.
Also, Raymond should be able to use his speed to back off defenders which could open some space for the Sedins, who are pretty good when they get some space
Personally, I would love to see Kassian on the line if for no other reason than to throttle the next person that manhandled a Sedin. Seriously, why does AV not protect these guys once in a while? This is definitely material for an upcoming Canucks Shacks’ Take so I’ll stop now before I work myself into a tizzy.
Wouldn't this face help intimidate Sedin foes. |
