Tim Tebow may be the most popular non starter in the NFL but he is
exactly that, a non starter and the same should go for your fantasy
roster. Never has a situational
quarterback been a viable fantasy starter and I doubt Tebow will be the first.
Yes, this circus would have been too much for a backup
quarterback. But that’s not what Tebow is. He’s not a No. 1 quarterback,
either. Tebow is the New York Jets’
starting publicity stunt. He’s just for show.

This is what the last pick in your fantasy draft looks like with his shirt off. |
Shacks’ Take: Since the J-E-T-S Jets
Jets Jets, plan on using Tebow as a wildcat quarterback, Tebow will likely have
more value than any back up QB in NFL history.
Still there is no way to count on a QB who isn’t the primary starter, it
means you will have to rely on TD’s for production and QB’s are much too
valuable to employ one that may score you zero points on a weekend.
Your QB needs to be the rock of your team scoring at least 13 points a
week with some games scoring 20 points.
Using a QB that has the potential to score 20, 0, 6, 13 then 2 points a
week is way too risky.
Tebow should only be drafted as a back up if you have one of the big
guns like Brady or Rodgers or as a QB#3 if you can’t get one of the top QB’s
and might need to platoon the position over the season.
Really the only reason to draft him is if you want to stash him in case
he becomes the starter and gains value or if you want to get some God in your
life.
