Botchford says Luongo’s Improvement Means Less Schneider

As if things weren't bleak enough for Cory Schneider.
As if it wasn't going to be difficult enough to get some playing time, given the Canucks schedule. They're currently in the midst of two games in 14 days and don't have a back-to-back until late February.
As if it wasn't hard enough to pry games away from Roberto Luongo, who said Tuesday after a 30-save performance he's never felt men-tally stronger.

Shacks' Take:  In many ways just ditto the last entry.  This season is all about the playoffs.   Luongo has always been a great goalie except in hostile environments.  Until Lui gets over that hurdle, Schneider is every bit as important to this team as Lui. We may need Schneids in the playoffs and I think AV knows that so he'll get his work.
