According to LeBrun – Canucks Consider Moen

Things never seem quiet, however, in Montreal, and one player who is generating interest in Vancouver is Travis Moen. Montreal GM Pierre Gauthier has reportedly been fielding calls for the gritty winger, and one of the interested teams could be the Canucks.

Without prompts, in his weekly hit on the TEAM 1040  morning show Thursday, ESPN/TSN's Pierre Lebrun offered up Moen as being a good fit in Vancouver.  http://blogs.theprovince.com/2012/01/26/travis-moen-to-the-canucks-being-considered/

Shacks' Take: Love these rumors that are nothing more than speculation.  The Canucks need a big strong winger with a bad attitude.  I'm not sure he fits the bill but hes likely better at the role than Dale Weiss.  He could replace Mason Raymond on the third line but that makes the 3rd line more of a checking unit and I don't think Hodgson would do well in that role.  I think he would be a fall back if Gillis can't get someone with a little more score ability or abrasion.
