(Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames appear to have momentum heading into the All-Star break. That is something lacking from the San Jose Sharks right now. The Flames, who could have forward Alex Tanguay back in the lineup tonight, look to halt a four-game slide to the Sharks and deal the Pacific Division co- leaders a fourth straight defeat overall. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=385934
My Take: Tanguay had missed 15 games but the Flames have caught fire without him going 5-1-1 in their last 7 to move within 2 points of the last playoff seed. Hopefully he helps push the Flames towards the playoffs because as of now there is very little Canadian content in the playoff picture, just 2 teams. It would be nice to get a couple more, well maybe not the Leafs.
