take: Not much risk for New
Jersey here. Ponikarovski was a
perennial 20-goal scorer until last year and a big body. He’ll provide depth and size to a club in the
middle of the playoff race. Carolina is
virtually out of the playoff race and may be just staring to sell their assets
that don’t fit into their long-term plans.
Hopefully this is just the beginning of some intriguing trade deadline
deals.
